A full range of counselling services for individuals, couples, children, and families — in-person and online.
Relationships are at the heart of our wellbeing, and when they struggle, everything else can feel harder. Whether you're navigating recurring conflict, rebuilding trust after betrayal, preparing for marriage, or working through a major life transition together, couples and family counselling offers a supported space to reconnect.
We offer both online sessions and limited in-person availability, using approaches such as the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help you find your way back to each other — or to chart a new course with clarity and care.
Book a sessionChildren and young people face a world that is often complex and confusing — and they deserve support that meets them where they are. Our therapists create warm, age-appropriate spaces where young people can explore emotions, process difficult experiences, and build the skills to thrive.
We use play therapy, creative expression, and evidence-based conversational approaches to engage children and adolescents in a way that feels safe and meaningful. We also work closely with parents throughout the process, offering guidance, psychoeducation, and collaborative strategies to support the whole family.
Book a sessionTrauma doesn't always look the way we expect. It can show up as anxiety, hypervigilance, numbness, disconnection from relationships, or a persistent sense that something is deeply wrong — even when nothing visible seems to have happened. If that resonates, you are not imagining it. And you are not alone.
Our therapists are trained in trauma-informed approaches including EMDR, Brainspotting, and somatic awareness techniques. We work at a pace that honours your nervous system — guided always by what feels safe and possible for you in the moment. Healing from trauma is not linear, but it is real.
Book a sessionDepression and anxiety are among the most common — and most isolating — experiences a person can face. They can make even small tasks feel impossible, relationships feel distant, and the future feel out of reach. You deserve more than being told to think positively or push through.
Our therapists use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and more to help you understand what's driving how you feel — and develop practical, lasting ways to reclaim your motivation, perspective, and sense of joy.
Book a sessionUnderstanding how your mind works is one of the most empowering things you can do for yourself. Our comprehensive assessments explore attention, executive function, learning, and social-communication patterns — providing a clear and compassionate picture of who you are neurologically.
We work with children, adolescents, and adults. A clinical diagnosis is not a limitation — it's a map, a language, and often an enormous relief. We support clients both through the assessment process and in the counselling that often follows, helping translate insights into practical strategies for daily life.
Book an assessmentFor many people, faith is not a separate dimension of life — it is woven through everything: relationships, identity, purpose, and the way we understand suffering and hope. Christian-based counselling creates space for this dimension to be present in the therapeutic process, rather than set aside at the door.
This approach integrates scriptural reflection, prayer, and spiritual values into counselling for clients who wish to explore this path. It is always offered as an invitation, never an expectation. Our practice welcomes all people, regardless of faith background, and our commitment is always first and foremost to the person in front of us.
Book a sessionWe want care to be accessible. Here's how we work with insurance and payment.
We accept Tricare, Aetna, and Optum insurance plans. For clients paying out of pocket, we offer a sliding scale — because financial barriers should never prevent someone from getting the support they need. Sessions are available both online and, on a limited basis, in-person at our Newport News office.
